Makhil Snaip described a four-day trip that visited Tver and Uglich.
Makhil Snaip, a Dutchman living in Russia, has described a four-day Volga River cruise he took in summer 2026. The route included stops in Tver and Uglich. He shared his impressions on his “Dutchman in Russia” blog on the Zen platform, Lenta.ru reported.
Snaip said the internet connection aboard the boat was good, which mattered because he needed to work. He also praised the food, listing syrniki, vareniki, porridge, cutlets, omelettes, vegetables and fruit among the choices. Passengers could ask for additional servings, he said.
Of the cruise’s 260 passengers, 80 were children. The boat had a children’s room with games, activities, quests, a magician and concerts. Snaip wrote that his children sometimes did not want to leave the playroom.
