Each artist’s piece on display highlights a different way AI can act as a creative catalyst, translating the creator’s vision into visual form while leaving the human hand evident in the concept and direction.
A centerpiece of the show is the Fold Pond, an interactive installation that lets visitors experiment with Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones. Attendees can use the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra to generate their own AI‑powered imagery on site, turning the devices into collaborative creative partners.
Samsung’s organizers said the gallery is not intended to answer the philosophical question of AI‑art legitimacy, but to provoke visitors to consider where the line between human imagination and machine assistance lies. By letting the public create alongside the devices, the company hopes to spark dialogue about the role of emerging technology in the artistic process.
The exhibition, staged in the Netherlands, underscores Samsung’s broader strategy of positioning its foldable lineup as more than just hardware – as tools that can expand creative possibilities for both professionals and hobbyists.
