Air India Express adds four weekly Bangkok flights to Cochin’s winter schedule, boosting Southeast Asia links

The winter timetable will see 1,766 weekly flight movements at Cochin, a 14.40 % increase over the 1,544 services operated during the summer period.

Around 252 flights are expected to operate each day, expanding Kochi’s network to 32 destinations – 13 domestic and 19 international airports.

Other carriers are also expanding: IndiGo will introduce a daily service to Fujairah, while Akasa Air will start daily flights to Dubai, Dammam and Kuwait. IndiGo will add daily domestic routes to Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram.

CIAL managing director S. Suhas said the airport is planning further passenger‑experience upgrades, including home baggage collection and enhanced facilities for travelers needing special assistance.

During the winter season, Kochi will be linked to 13 Gulf destinations – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Riyadh, Muscat, Sharjah, Jeddah, Bahrain, Dammam, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Salalah – accounting for 327 weekly arrivals. Bengaluru and Mumbai will remain the busiest domestic routes, while Abu Dhabi will be the most frequent international service.
