The ritual, known as the ‘Sarva Devatha Moola Mantra Homam’, marked the final day of the nine‑day spiritual programme called ‘Bharatha Vishwaguru Sankalpa Siddhi Mahayagam’, and was held on Wednesday at the Siddhartha Educational Group campus on the outskirts of Puttur town, Tirupati district.
A total of 215 Vedic and Agamic scholars operated 115 specially prepared Homa Gundams, conducting the fire‑sacrifice to pray for the health and longevity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the aim of helping him realise his vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India).
Siddhartha Group chairman and BJP state vice‑president K. Ashok Raju, who led the ceremony, said the event was intended to position India as a global super‑power of knowledge, emphasizing the role of ancient Vedic practices in modern nation‑building.
The ceremony also featured a Maha Shanti Yagam, described by organisers as a ritual to ensure peace and well‑being for global citizens, underscoring the broader spiritual aspirations of the Mahayagam.
Prominent BJP officials attended the event, including state president P.V.N. Madhav, vice‑president Kola Anand, secretary N. Ramesh Naidu, and Tirupati district president Samanchi Srinivas, who all took part in the proceedings.
The series of rites concluded with the ‘Poornahuthi’ ritual at noon, signalling the formal end of the nine‑day Mahayagam.
