The Lok Adalat, a government‑run out‑of‑court settlement forum, took up 31,090 pre‑litigation matters and reached compromise in 27,531 of them, representing the bulk of the event’s outcomes.
Among the 54,937 cases pending before various district courts, 3,908 were presented at the Lok Adalat; of those, 2,160 were resolved, while the remaining cases continue in regular court proceedings.
The financial impact of the settlements was disclosed as ₹29,11,872 for the pre‑litigation cases and ₹48,50,60,531 for the court‑pending cases that were settled during the session.
Conciliation efforts extended beyond monetary disputes: nine couples were reunited at the Dharwad Family Court, twelve at the Hubballi Family Court, and two at the Kundgol court, while 207 senior citizens also settled their grievances through the process.
Principal District and Sessions Judge and DLSA chairman N.V. Vijay praised the outcomes, extending greetings to the families reunited through conciliation and highlighting the Lok Adalat’s role in easing the burden on the formal judiciary.
