The collaboration will extend Reap’s Visa‑card issuance platform beyond its current focus on Asia and Latin America into Europe, the Middle East, Africa and other regions, making the company the first Asian fintech to work with Visa on global stablecoin credit‑card issuance at scale.
Through Reap’s infrastructure, partners will receive card‑network authorisation, processing, compliance frameworks and operational support, allowing them to concentrate on product development and market growth while leveraging Visa’s worldwide acceptance network.
Stablecoin‑linked card programmes are among the fastest‑growing segments of digital payments; Artemis Research estimates a 106 % compound annual growth rate for the segment, far outpacing the 5 % CAGR seen in peer‑to‑peer payments.
Visa reports a $20 billion annual run‑rate of global stablecoin settlement volume, a 15‑fold increase year‑over‑year, and says more than 160 stablecoin card programmes are already operating worldwide.
"We are excited that Visa is building the stablecoin card category with us in this landmark collaboration from Asia Pacific," said Daren Guo, co‑founder of Reap. "Stablecoins opened the door, but the real unlock is the compliant infrastructure pathway that this creates for any company, anywhere in the world, to issue cards and scale through a single partnership."
Visa Asia Pacific President Stephen Karpin added that the partnership reflects “strong momentum” in the payments ecosystem and will help bring trusted, secure infrastructure to new markets and use cases.
The joint offering will enable fintechs, businesses and platforms to fund credit‑card balances with stablecoins, use stablecoins as collateral, and settle cross‑border corporate spend while maintaining compliance and program‑management controls.
Future phases of the partnership will explore new settlement pathways, including AI‑driven agentic commerce that can execute authenticated payments within user‑defined parameters, and Reap plans to introduce multicurrency stablecoin cards to broaden funding and settlement options.
Reap, founded in Hong Kong and employing roughly 300 staff, processed billions of dollars in stablecoin‑funded transactions in 2025. Visa, a global payments leader operating in more than 200 countries, continues to expand its stablecoin settlement program across the Asia‑Pacific region.
