The state’s weather service has warned of continuous rain over the next three days starting September 23, 2026, prompting the minister to issue a series of precautionary directives.
Reddy instructed officials to keep a constant watch on flood‑prone, low‑lying areas, rivulets and streams, emphasizing the need for rapid response to any grievances raised by residents.
Authorities were told to be ready to relocate people to safer locations if conditions deteriorate, with particular attention to the districts of Pedapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanumakonda.
A round‑the‑clock control room equipped with a toll‑free helpline is to be established in each of the affected districts to ensure that citizens can seek assistance at any time.
The minister also urged the public to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel until the weather improves.
