Brooklyn beat Charlotte 124-90 in an NBA preseason game. Afterward, Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez discussed the progress of Russian point guard Egor Demin, Sport-Express reported, citing journalist Brian Lewis.
The 20-year-old Demin played 18 minutes, scoring six points, grabbing one rebound and recording five assists. Fernandez said he wanted the player to attack more aggressively by shooting or driving to the basket. The coach said Demin had worked on that throughout the summer, grown stronger and become more comfortable in those situations.
Brooklyn selected Demin with the eighth pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. He appeared in 52 games last season, averaging 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 25 minutes per game.
