Funding secured for gas-chemical training cluster at Amur college
Amur Technical College has secured funding for a gas-chemical training cluster due to open this year, Governor Vasily Orlov said after meeting Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov.
The cluster is being developed under the federal Professionalitet vocational education project. Orlov said applications for further clusters serving construction, mining and medicine remain under consideration.
The governor said colleges in the region had created 72 workshops over five years. Prospective employers paid for equipment in 12 of them.
The region plans to equip new laboratories and training facilities in 2027–2028. Priorities will include digital equipment, simulators and automated production lines designed to reflect conditions at industrial workplaces.
