Supermarket worker to stand trial over shopper's death in Blagoveshchensk
Prosecutors in Blagoveshchensk have approved the indictment of a 28-year-old supermarket employee accused of causing the death of an 84-year-old shopper through negligence.
Prosecutors allege that in early May the worker loaded a trolley with drink packages beyond its permitted capacity. The load obscured his view, and he struck the woman while moving through the shop.
The shopper died from her injuries two days later. The accused man worked as a shelf-stocking employee.
Blagoveshchensk prosecutors have sent the criminal case to court.
