BJP leader Gajendra Singh Patel made the allegations at a press conference in Ranchi. The ruling JMM rejected his claim about infiltration.
Newly appointed Jharkhand BJP in-charge Gajendra Singh Patel criticised the state government on October 6, accusing it of corruption, law-and-order failures and shortcomings in basic services. He also raised employment concerns and alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations. The claims were made by an opposition politician and were not independently verified in the available material.
Patel said residents he met during a tour of state districts had complained about healthcare, education, roads, electricity, drinking water and irrigation. He accused the authorities of misusing mineral resources and district mineral development funds. He also backed a Special Intensive Revision of voter rolls, describing it as a transparent process.
The remarks came at Patel’s first press conference at the party office in Ranchi since his appointment. State BJP president Aditya Sahu, opposition leader Babulal Marandi and former chief minister Raghubar Das were present.
JMM general secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey rejected the allegation that the state government was encouraging illegal infiltration and called on the central government to detail its own measures. Indian media also reported the response.
