Honda updates Elevate in India, but Brazil’s WR-V changes remain unconfirmed

The Indian version gains revised styling, new driver-assistance features and added equipment. Honda Brazil has not announced a corresponding update for the WR-V.

Honda has unveiled an The model is sold in Brazil as the WR-V, but Honda’s Brazilian unit has not confirmed that the local version will receive the same update.

The redesign is most visible at the front, with a new grille and bumper, black trim, horizontal elements and The Honda badge has moved from the grille to the bonnet. At the rear, the taillights have been visually linked into a single line.

The cabin has new materials and trim, while the main displays remain a 10-inch infotainment screen and an analogue instrument cluster. New available features include an electric sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, ventilation for rear seats, a 360-degree camera and front parking sensors. Equipment varies by trim.

Honda Sensing adds Low Speed Follow, which lets adaptive cruise control follow traffic at low speeds. The suite also includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, automatic high beams and a lead-vehicle departure alert.

The powertrain is unchanged. The Indian model uses a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine rated at 121 hp, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. In Brazil, the WR-V is offered only with a CVT and a 126-hp flex-fuel engine. Indian CVT versions now have rear disc brakes instead of drum brakes. A hybrid version is not planned at this time.

CNN Brasil says the Indian facelift may offer clues to the WR-V’s future, but Honda Brazil has not announced any changes. The company has not said when or to what extent the update might reach the Brazilian market, so Indian-market equipment should not be assumed for the local model.
