Igdisamov gives CSKA’s league start four out of five

CSKA head coach Dmitry Igdisamov gave his team a grade of four for its start to the Russian league season. In a Sport-Express interview published on October 9, he said the side can play better and achieve greater balance.
Igdisamov said the team’s place among the leaders and unbeaten league record reflected the players’ work. He thanked his assistants and the squad for accepting his ideas and putting them into practice. He also described improvements in fitness, tactics and understanding of the staff’s demands.
Sport-Express reported that CSKA stood fourth after nine rounds with 19 points. The coach nevertheless treated the positive results as a stage in the team’s development. His assessment left room for improvement, with better quality and balance remaining central goals. He said considerable work still lay ahead.
