Ivan Zolo links Donetsk detention to an old T-shirt video

Blogger and musician Ivan Zolo said his detention during a concert in Donetsk was linked to a video showing him in a T-shirt bearing banned imagery. He also announced the postponement of his Mariupol performance.

Zolo wrote on Telegram that he bought the shirt from a hip-hop shop in 2022 and did not know the meaning of its design. He said he later learned the imagery was associated with the International Satanism Movement, which is banned in Russia.

The blogger said he accepted responsibility and promised to delete videos featuring the shirt and dispose of it. He assured followers that he was all right.

The detention was reported by the management of Donetsk's Terrikon club and Safe Internet League head Yekaterina Mizulina. Zolo, whose real name is Ivan Zolochevsky, is known for TikTok videos, streams with Nekoglay and music releases.

The artist said the remaining concerts on his tour would go ahead as scheduled.
