Joselu joins Al-Sailiya after leaving Al-Gharafa

The Spanish striker will remain in Qatar after the club announced his signing. Al-Sailiya did not disclose the length of the agreement.

Al-Sailiya has announced the arrival of Joselu, the former Real Madrid forward, on its official channels. The club used the slogan “The Spanish giant is now at Al-Sailiya” in its announcement. The terms of the agreement were not made public.

Joselu spent the previous two seasons with Al-Gharafa and is staying in the Qatar Stars League after leaving that side. Sport-Express lists 28 goals and five assists in 58 matches during that spell. Spanish outlet AS reports a slightly different tally of 27 goals and five assists in 57 appearances, a difference of one match and one goal.

AS also said Joselu joined Al-Sailiya as a free agent after his Al-Gharafa contract ended. At the time of its report, Al-Sailiya had lost all four opening league matches and was last in the standings.
