Kane ties England caps record and reaches 91 international goals

The striker scored twice in a 3–0 win over Czechia, bringing his England goal tally to 91 and matching Peter Shilton’s record of 125 appearances.

England beat Czechia 3–0 at Wembley in the Nations League, with Harry Kane scoring twice and contributing to the attack that ended in a Vladimir Coufal own goal. The England Football Association said Kane equalled goalkeeper Peter Shilton’s national-team appearance record at 125. His brace took his England scoring total to 91.

When Kane was substituted in the 82nd minute, the stadium display showed the number 125 alongside the striker’s and Shilton’s names. Kane’s appearance matched the record Shilton set during his England career from 1970 to 1990. Kane has long passed Wayne Rooney’s total of 53 goals for the men’s team.

La Nación also noted Kane’s output across the calendar year: 50 goals in 46 appearances for club and country. He leads the Nations League scoring chart with six, two ahead of Lamine Yamal and Michael Olise. England ended the international window with a win, and Kane described the Wembley night as a good one for himself and the team.

Kane is moving closer to 100 goals for England but said he was not focused on that milestone. Jude Bellingham praised the captain as the best English player to wear the national shirt and highlighted his leadership. La Nación and the England Football Association reported the record and match figures.
