Katseye said Sophia Laforteza is expected to resume group activities in early January 2027. She will remain away from promotions and the tour’s North American dates through the end of this year.
The group’s The Wildworld Tour began in September with shows in European capitals. Its North American and Mexico dates are scheduled for October and November, but Laforteza will miss the remaining concerts.
Katseye said she is prioritising her mental health and well-being with the group’s support. Laforteza wrote that she has been seeking the care she needs and learning ways to look after herself.
She said it was difficult to miss the rest of the tour but that she had decided not to rush her return. She plans to use the coming months to prepare to resume work with the group.
Another member, Manon Bannerman, announced a hiatus in February. The remaining members have continued the group’s commitments. Katseye has not disclosed a diagnosis for Laforteza, and she has not named one.
