Kislyak calls Nigeria draw a winning performance and praises Russia camp atmosphere

Midfielder Matvey Kislyak said Russia had a good October camp, although the team ended it with a 3-3 draw against Nigeria.

Russia led 3-1 in the friendly in Nizhny Novgorod after goals from Lechi Sadulaev, Kislyak and Alexey Miranchuk. Nigeria pulled one back in the 78th minute, and Akor Adams equalized in stoppage time. Russia had beaten Iran 2-0 and Namibia 6-0 earlier in the camp.

Kislyak played the full matches against Iran and Nigeria. Against Nigeria, he first assisted Sadulaev and then scored himself. He said the squad had a good atmosphere, although the camp felt a little long.

The Nigeria match was Russia's first in Nizhny Novgorod since 2019. Valery Karpin's team surrendered a two-goal lead late in the game and finished the October window without a third win.
