Moscow expects wind gusts of up to 17 meters per second

Moscow is forecast to see brief rain and wind gusts reaching 17 meters per second on October 10. City utility officials issued the warning on October 9, RIA Novosti reported.

The warning covered Friday and Saturday, October 9–10. With Friday already over locally, the advice remains relevant for Saturday.

The Hydrometeorological Center forecasts southwesterly winds of 7–12 meters per second, with isolated gusts reaching 17. Daytime temperatures are expected at 11–13 degrees Celsius, with light rain in places. These are forecast figures rather than recorded observations.

City services urged residents to take care outdoors during bad weather, avoid sheltering beneath trees and not park vehicles near them.

The warning concerns stronger winds and brief rainfall. Forecasters expect cooler conditions after the warmer Friday.
