Motorists in South Africa headed to filling stations ahead of a new fuel price increase taking effect at midnight. Petrol prices will rise by 3.12 rand per litre for 93 grade and 3.33 rand for 95 grade, SABC News reported.
Diesel will become 2.84 to 3.24 rand more expensive per litre, depending on the grade, while illuminating paraffin will rise by 4.77 rand. The increase adds to pressure on household budgets as transport costs climb.
