Nadezhda Peskova makes ice-dance debut at Plushenko event

Nadezhda Peskova, 12, made her competitive ice-dance debut at the Moscow event held for Evgeni Plushenko’s prizes. She and Andrei Chelekov scored 47.13 points across two compulsory dances.
RIA Novosti reported that the pair, competing in the first sporting category, stood 14th among 15 entrants after their October 10 performances. That is an intermediate result, with another pattern dance scheduled for October 11.
Peskova and Chelekov train in Anjelika Krylova’s group. Before the event, Tatiana Navka told TASS that her daughter worked hard and was deeply committed to skating. She said the parents’ priorities were their child’s health and willingness to work.
Peskova is the daughter of 2006 Olympic ice-dance champion Tatiana Navka and Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. The competition runs in Moscow on October 10–11. The pair’s final position will be determined after the remaining programme is completed.
