The final action date for Mexican applicants in the F2A family category moved to March 22, 2026. The filing chart is marked Current, but applicants inside the United States must also follow separate USCIS guidance.
The US State Department has issued its October 2026 Visa Bulletin, the first month of the new fiscal year. For Mexican applicants in the F2A category, the final action date is March 22, 2026, advancing from August 22, 2025, in September. F2A covers spouses and children under 21 of US permanent residents.
The Dates for Filing chart marks F2A as Current, meaning applicants may submit documents regardless of priority date. People seeking adjustment of status from inside the United States should also check which chart US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) allows for that month. The State Department says its bulletin alone does not determine eligibility to file an adjustment application in the United States.
For other Mexican family-sponsored categories, October’s final action dates are: F1, September 8, 2008; F2B, May 15, 2010; F3, July 1, 2001; and F4, April 22, 2001. The corresponding filing dates are December 1, 2008; March 22, 2011; December 1, 2002; and April 30, 2001. F1 is for unmarried children of US citizens; F2B for unmarried adult children of permanent residents; F3 for married children of citizens; and F4 for siblings of adult US citizens.
The State Department bulletin sets the dates when visas may be issued or documents filed in each preference category; it does not guarantee a visa. Consular applicants must follow their priority dates and notices from the National Visa Center. USCIS separately determines which chart applies to adjustment-of-status filings inside the United States.
