In an interview with Lecturas, the footballer’s wife said she was troubled by assumptions drawn from photos of him hugging Ferran Torres. She also discussed motherhood and returning to work.
Entrepreneur Paddy Noarbe criticized the discussion around photos showing her husband, Atlético Madrid footballer Marcos Llorente, hugging Ferran Torres. In an interview with Lecturas magazine, she said she was upset that a friendly gesture became a reason to question the player’s sexual orientation.
“I felt sad that hugs between two men became a news story questioning his orientation,” Noarbe said. The problem, she said, was not the photographs themselves but the attempt to draw conclusions about the private lives of the two footballers from them.
Noarbe said she would not expect her husband to hide his orientation if he were gay. Everyone should be able to live openly as they choose, she said, adding that it was harmful to treat homosexuality as something to “discover” or conceal. Her remarks were hypothetical; the interview does not confirm claims about Llorente’s or Torres’s orientation.
She said she used to be more affected by criticism but now feels more secure. Noarbe said she tries to listen to comments when they are sincere and useful, while setting aside remarks that are simply judgmental.
In the Lecturas interview, Noarbe also discussed work and motherhood. Their daughter is a year and a half old. She said the child remains her top priority, although she is gradually returning to professional projects and social media work.
Noarbe said she would like to become a mother again and feels the time may be right. Asked whether she and her husband were considering expanding their family, she answered yes.
