Positive Technologies plans consumer mobile security app

Positive Technologies is developing a mobile security application for individual users and plans to present its first version in the second quarter of 2027, executive Sergei Lebedev told RBC.

RBC found HeadHunter vacancies for an IT project manager, systems analyst and product designer to launch a consumer application. The listings describe protection against mobile viruses, telephone fraud and other digital threats.

Lebedev, the company's director of workstation and server protection products, said development was underway. Alongside the consumer app, the company is considering corporate mobile security technology and a product banks could use to protect customers.

Vladislav Yermakov heads the mobile protection business. He oversaw digital business at Pochta Bank until May 2026. Lebedev said initial investment was directed towards development and recruitment, with the project expected to break even over several years.

Euler analyst Sofia Astrelina told RBC she did not expect the new business to become a significant revenue source soon because of the consumer segment's relatively small size. PSB analyst Yekaterina Krylova highlighted future retail marketing and mass customer-support costs.
