Prajwal Revanna's proposed transfer to Hindalga prison put on hold

Karnataka prison authorities have temporarily deferred former MP Prajwal Revanna's proposed transfer from Parappana Agrahara prison to Hindalga. The Hindu cited prison department sources attributing the delay to administrative and technical reasons.
Revanna is serving a life sentence in a rape case. The proposed move would relocate him from the Bengaluru prison to a facility in Belagavi.
A mobile phone was allegedly found in his possession during a Central Crime Branch raid on August 11. Parappana Agrahara police subsequently obtained a court warrant to secure his presence for further investigation. They sought to establish how the prohibited device entered the prison and how it was used.
IANS also reported on October 10 that the move had been temporarily deferred while the department finalised arrangements. The available reports did not give a confirmed date for the transfer.
