Spartak beat Sochi 2–0 in KHL away game

Spartak defeated Sochi 2–0 on October 9 in the 2026/27 KHL regular season. Aleksandr Belyayev and Alex Galchenyuk scored for the visiting Moscow team at the Bolshoy arena in Sochi.
Belyayev put Spartak ahead at 1:14 of the opening period. Galchenyuk extended the advantage at 42:44, converting on the power play. Sochi were unable to score, leaving the visitors with a shutout victory.
After the game, Spartak had 16 points from 14 matches and stood fifth in the Western Conference. Sochi had four points after 13 games and occupied the conference’s bottom position.
The teams’ next scheduled fixtures send them in different directions. Spartak will face Amur on October 14 as their away series continues, while Sochi are due to meet Ak Bars on October 12.
