Goa, the beloved dog of late Indian industrialist Ratan Tata, was injured in a car accident outside Bombay House in Mumbai. By Thursday evening, he was recovering and expected to attend a Sunday blessing ceremony, a priest told the Times of India.
The Times of India reported that the dog was taken into the Tata headquarters for medical attention. Noel Tata also visited him.
Goa is scheduled to attend the Blessing of Pets ceremony at Our Lady of Health Church in Cavel, Kalbadevi, on Sunday, October 11.
Parish priest Father Joseph D’Souza told the newspaper the dog was recovering. He said Goa howled when his injured paw was touched that evening. The ceremony is scheduled for the day before the second anniversary of Ratan Tata’s death, which falls on October 9.
