
Russia’s consumer watchdog said it had blocked more than 48,000 online resources offering prohibited supplements. Examples included unregistered products, items exceeding regulated substance limits and products the agency deemed dangerous.
Rospotrebnadzor said it had blocked 48,600 online resources offering dietary supplements whose sale is prohibited in Russia. The agency’s press service said specialists continued to identify such websites and issue decisions restricting access to them.
Among the examples cited by the agency was Haridra (Turmeric) Shri Ganga, a supplement that had not received state registration. It also referred to products containing regulated substances above established limits, including Vitamin D3 at 250 micrograms, or 10,000 IU, and a product it classified as dangerous, Nature’s Way Kidney Bladder.
RIA Novosti reported the figures on October 5, citing the agency’s press service. The announcement concerned blocked online offers for prohibited supplements.
