Rosseti and Moscow Power Engineering Institute expand research partnership

Rosseti and the National Research University Moscow Power Engineering Institute signed a long term research cooperation agreement on October 14. The document expands arrangements made in 2023, the university said.
The agreement was signed during Russian Energy Week by Rosseti Deputy Director General and Chief Engineer Yevgeny Lyapunov and the university's Vice Rector for Science and Innovation Ivan Komarov.
Planned areas of cooperation include energy storage systems, power electronics, digital engineering and direct current networks. The partners also intend to work on diagnostics, information and industrial safety, artificial intelligence and robotics.
The agreement regulates commercialisation of intellectual property and provides for the development of testing, experimental and laboratory facilities.
The university said solutions developed through the cooperation are intended for inclusion in the Rosseti group's Technology Register.
