Iran executes Ali-Sina Mostafavi, accused of armed attacks

Iranian authorities executed Ali-Sina Mostafavi in Kerman on October 14. The judiciary's Mizan news agency announced that his death sentence had been carried out.
Mizan alleged that Mostafavi carried out two armed attacks in Kerman: a March 24 shooting in a public place that wounded an adult and a girl, and an April 21 attack on conscripts and passing vehicles that injured several others.
Judicial authorities also accused him of involvement in winter protests and sending photographs and videos to media abroad. Iran Human Rights said his death sentence concerned moharebeh, or enmity against God.
Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran's last shah, said Mostafavi's confessions had been extracted under torture. Euronews reported his statement on X.
Iran Human Rights, citing an informed source, said Kerman's Revolutionary Court issued the sentence and Iran's Supreme Court upheld it on September 28.
