A fifteen-year-old girl was seriously injured near Obukhovo metro station in St Petersburg after her backpack caught on a passing train and she was pulled under its wheels, the Pediatric University's press service said.
The incident happened during the afternoon of October 18 while she was near railway tracks. She was taken to the university's clinic.
Doctors diagnosed an open fracture of the fifth metatarsal, a closed head injury and concussion. She lost four toes on her right foot. The clinic said CT scans showed no severe internal traumatic changes.
