Sobyanin says Moscow is a major user of traction batteries

The batteries power electric buses, cars, trams and other forms of urban transport.

Moscow is one of the largest consumers of traction batteries because the city uses electric transport, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. Such batteries power electric buses, cars, trams and other forms of urban transport.

RIA Novosti carried Sobyanin’s statement on Oct. 6. The city’s transport portal has previously said the batteries would serve electric buses, cars and river vessels, while a traction-battery plant is planned for Krasnaya Pakhra.
