Spartak says European clubs are interested in Christopher Wooh but rules out a sale for now

FC Spartak general director Sergey Nekrasov told Sport-Express that the club is receiving offers for leading players above their Transfermarkt valuations. He said interest in Cameroon defender Christopher Wooh from clubs in Europe’s top leagues is sustained, but Spartak is not considering a sale now.

Nekrasov said five Spartak players feature among the 20 most valuable in the Russian Premier League according to Transfermarkt. He added that actual offers for those players exceed the figures listed by the service, while describing market valuations as a relative measure.

Asked about a possible sale of Wooh, the club chief said teams from Europe’s top five leagues have shown interest in the defender. Nekrasov stressed, however, that a transfer is not under consideration at present.

Christopher Wooh joined FC Spartak from French club Rennes in September 2025. The Cameroon international had previously played for Lens and Rennes in Ligue 1. His contract with the Moscow club runs until June 2029, according to the club’s official website.
