Melbourne teacher charged with sexual offences involving student

The former staff member faces three child sexual assault counts, ABC reported.

A teacher at an elite girls’ school in Melbourne has been charged with grooming and sexually assaulting a student, The Sydney Morning Herald reported. ABC identified the accused as a former staff member of Methodist Ladies’ College in Kew.

ABC said the man faces three counts of child sexual assault. He was arrested on Oct. 2 and is due to appear in court in December. The student has not been identified. The charges have not been proven in court.
