Two detained after St Petersburg scam courier is robbed of more than 3 million rubles

Police say a woman acting as a scam courier had collected more than 3 million rubles from a St Petersburg resident before two men robbed her on Grazhdansky Prospekt.

St Petersburg police detained two men suspected of robbing a woman who had collected more than 3 million rubles from a resident as a courier for scammers.

The woman told police she was pushed from behind on Grazhdansky Prospekt and a bag containing cash was taken from her. Police later established that she had been acting as a courier in a fraud scheme. Separate cases were opened over fraud and robbery.
