Zelenskyy says Finland will provide F-16 weapons in coming days

Ukraine expects to receive weapons for F-16 fighter jets from Finland in the coming days, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after speaking with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
Zelenskyy said the weapons were intended to counter Russian jet-powered drones and thanked Finland for its support. His announcement concerned expected assistance, rather than confirmation that the delivery had been completed.
The presidents also discussed Russia's earnings from petroleum exports. Zelenskyy said Kyiv and Helsinki were preparing and coordinating steps in response to changing circumstances, without listing specific measures.
The conversation came against the backdrop of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump's agreement on resuming Russian diesel supplies. Trump announced more than 300,000 tonnes for October and another 500,000 tonnes for November.
Russia confirmed its willingness to restart exports. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak had previously linked overseas sales to the availability of surplus production. Zelenskyy criticised the US decision on Russian supplies.
