Substation damaged after drone attack in Russia’s Oryol region

Some homes in Oryol region’s Znamensky district lost power after a substation was damaged overnight on October 10. Governor Andrey Klychkov said no residents were injured.
Klychkov said air defences destroyed 13 drones over the region. Debris from one aircraft damaged the electricity substation. He attributed the attack to Ukraine.
Emergency services and repair crews are working at the site to address the damage and restore the facility. The statement gave neither an exact number of affected homes nor a deadline for full restoration of electricity.
Interfax also reported the substation damage and power disruption, citing the governor. The statement that no residents were injured concerned Oryol region.
In the same report, 5-tv.ru cited separate Russian Defence Ministry figures of more than 100 drones destroyed over Rostov region that night. Those figures concern another region and should not be added to the 13 aircraft reported by Klychkov.
