Anastasiia Kosmycheva wins bronze at Paris taekwondo Grand Prix

Russia's Anastasiia Kosmycheva won bronze in the women's over-67kg division at the Paris World Taekwondo Grand Prix on October 9, 2026.
Kosmycheva lost her semifinal to Britain's Lauren Williams, the Tokyo Olympic silver medallist. Specialist outlet MASTKD reports that the bout went to three rounds. The Russian athlete finished the competition with a bronze medal.
Williams went on to defeat China's Lei Xu in the final and take gold. Hungary's Luana Márton received the division's other bronze medal. World Taekwondo's published list of medallists confirms the podium for the opening day of competition.
The result adds another international podium to the 22-year-old Kosmycheva's season. In August, she took silver at the Women's Open World Championships in China, losing to Belgium's Sarah Chaâri in the under-73kg final. The Paris Grand Prix runs from October 9 through October 11.
