Ozon and Ingosstrakh to end sellers' insurance programme on October 13
Ozon and Ingosstrakh will end their insurance programme covering sellers' goods against mass damage and drone attacks on October 13, 2026. The companies linked the decision to changes in reinsurance conditions and reduced available capacity.
The insurer told Interfax that market conditions changed on October 1, limiting the reinsurance protection available for the programme. Ozon said it would continue considering alternative ways to financially protect goods stored in its warehouses.
The marketplace said sellers who had insurance in place when earlier incidents occurred would still receive payments. It also said new insured events occurring before the programme is switched off would remain eligible for payments. The announcement therefore concerns the end of future coverage under this product, while those existing payment commitments remain in place.
