Araujo says it is too early to discuss permanent Liverpool move

Ronald Araujo says it is too early to discuss a permanent move from Barcelona to Liverpool. The Uruguay defender is playing for the English club on loan.

The 27-year-old told reporters that he was focusing on his daily work, development and building confidence in his performances. His comments were reported by PA.

Araujo said he was happy at Liverpool and that his family also felt settled. The defender said arriving at the club had given him a fuller appreciation of its scale, structure and supporters.

The loan runs for a year and includes an option to buy. Araujo's Barcelona contract remains valid until 30 June 2031.

In the 2026/27 season, he has made nine Liverpool appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist, according to Sport-Express.
