Steven Caulker describes difficulties finding a coaching job

Former Tottenham and Liverpool defender Steven Caulker says he is struggling to secure interviews for jobs he wants. He also acknowledged turning down opportunities that do not match his goals.

The 34-year-old Englishman discussed his search on LinkedIn. He said it was painful to apply for positions for which he believes he has the necessary qualifications without reaching the interview stage. He is trying to remain composed rather than make decisions in a panic.

Caulker said a daily routine and morning runs help him manage the stress. His post included a photograph taken after a run.

After his playing career, Caulker worked as an assistant coach at Turkish club Konyaspor. He left that position in September 2026.
