Bailiffs seek 1.737 million roubles in child-support debt from Dzhigan

Russian bailiffs opened enforcement proceedings on October 7 to recover 1.737 million roubles in child-support arrears from rapper Dzhigan, whose legal name is Denis Ustimenko, according to records reviewed by RIA Novosti.
The enforcement document is based on a notarised child-support agreement drawn up in July 2020. RIA Novosti reported the contents of the bailiffs’ records on October 14.
Samoylova’s lawyer Marina Dubrovskaya said bailiffs may prevent a debtor from disposing of property when arrears exist. Failure to meet obligations may also lead to account seizures up to the amount owed and restrictions on leaving Russia, she said.
Dubrovskaya described bailiffs’ powers without confirming that each measure had been applied to Dzhigan. The Telegram channel Mash had earlier reported a seizure affecting his house.
