WP reports irregular weapons deliveries and depleted Patriot stocks in Ukraine

Weapons deliveries to Ukraine have been irregular since May, an unnamed Ukrainian official told The Washington Post. The official said future shipments were uncertain and Patriot interceptor stocks were almost exhausted.
In the report published on October 15, the official described only a few missiles as remaining. A second source said Ukraine had run out of sophisticated weapons capable of intercepting Russian ballistic missiles.
A NATO source told the Post deliveries were continuing.
The newspaper linked global interceptor shortages to heavy Patriot use in Ukraine and the Middle East. It reported that a battery costs about one billion dollars and a missile can cost more than four million.
CNN previously reported the shortage, citing a source who said almost all ballistic missiles in the latest attack were not intercepted because too few interceptors were available.
