Bali deploys more police at filling stations amid fuel queues

Bali police deployed additional personnel to filling stations to maintain order and manage traffic amid fuel queues, RIA Novosti and Indonesian news agency ANTARA reported on October 13.
Officers are being sent primarily to stations where vehicle queues obstruct roads and create safety risks. They manage traffic, coordinate with station managers and patrol surrounding areas.
Denpasar traffic police also reported deploying dozens of officers to filling stations. According to ANTARA, deployments are adjusted to conditions on the ground.
Regional police urged residents to stay calm, buy fuel according to their needs and avoid panic buying. Police representative Ariasandi also said officers were ready to act against fuel stockpiling for speculation and abuses in subsidised fuel distribution.
The deployment concerns queue and traffic management. It is not an announcement that fuel disruptions have ended or that specific offenders have been detained.
