Baltika and sports director Armen Margaryan part ways by mutual agreement

Kaliningrad club Baltika has ended its cooperation with sports director Armen Margaryan. The agreement was terminated by mutual consent, the club said.

Margaryan had worked at Baltika since November 2023. Before joining the club, he held scouting and recruitment roles at Zenit, Lokomotiv, Krylia Sovetov and Nizhny Novgorod, then headed the national scouting department at Dynamo Moscow.

During his tenure, Baltika reached the Russian Cup super final for the first time. The team lost 2-1 to Zenit in the 2023-24 season decider, then finished 15th in the league and was relegated from the Russian Premier League (RPL).

In 2025-26, the club finished sixth in the RPL, its best result in Russia’s top division. Baltika, coached by Andrey Talalaev, is eighth after nine rounds of the current season with 11 points.
