Barinov’s representative expects CSKA midfielder to return after winter break
Dmitry Barinov could return to matches in the second half of the Russian Premier League season, his representative Pavel Banatin told TASS on October 12, giving an update on the CSKA Moscow midfielder’s recovery from knee surgery.
Banatin said the 30-year-old was no longer using crutches, had begun cycling and was spending three to four hours a day on rehabilitation. He described the recovery as proceeding according to plan and said the medical staff were satisfied with the progress.
The representative expects Barinov to resume training at the winter camps and begin playing towards their conclusion. That is Banatin’s assessment of the timetable, rather than confirmation that the player has already been cleared for competitive football.
CSKA announced that Barinov underwent a planned knee operation on September 11, 2026. He joined the club from Lokomotiv Moscow in January and has made 20 appearances for CSKA in all competitions.
