Moscow begins construction of Rusino gas regulation station

Moscow has begun building the Rusino gas regulation station in the Troitsky administrative district, with planned capacity of 70,000 cubic metres an hour, Mosgaz reported on October 12.

Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said the facility would improve the gas supply system serving Krasnopakhorsky and Voronovo municipal districts and allow more customers to be connected.

The station will use equipment manufactured by Mosgaz. The city describes it as designed for reliable operation with reduced noise levels.

Gas regulation stations lower gas pressure and maintain it within specified limits for homes and industrial consumers. Moscow’s city services said its stations must have shut-off devices and are monitored from a central control room.

The announcement concerns construction rather than commissioning. It did not specify a completion date or the number of additional connections that Rusino would provide.
