A court ordered an employer to pay a Buryatia resident 300,000 rubles in moral damages after he was injured in a fall from a ladder at work.
The man worked as a labourer at a company that manufactures concrete construction products. He fell from a ladder while carrying out his duties, and doctors diagnosed serious injuries, according to the regional office of Russia’s Federal Bailiff Service.
The court ordered the employer to pay 300,000 rubles in moral damages. To enforce the judgment, bailiffs froze the company’s bank accounts and prohibited registration actions involving its real estate. The regional office of the service reported the measures.
The Lenta report also cited a separate case in Kurgan, where a woman was awarded 900,000 rubles after falling on the entrance steps of a federal liquor-store chain.
