Beijing has approved about 3.7 million metric tons of diesel, gasoline and jet fuel exports after a brief halt during the Golden Week holiday.
China will resume refined-fuel exports in October after a short suspension during the holiday week. Four traders familiar with the matter told Reuters that shipments would restart. Two industry participants put the approved combined volume of diesel, gasoline and jet fuel at about 3.7 million metric tons.
Beijing began curbing fuel exports in March to protect domestic supplies as the Iran war disrupted crude flows and refinery production. Controls were eased from July through September.
China normally regulates fuel exports through a quota system but has recently begun vetting shipments month by month. The National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Commerce did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
