Mumbai–Delhi trains cancelled or delayed ahead of CJP protest

Indian Railways cancelled several services and moved two Mumbai–Delhi Rajdhani departures by five hours ahead of the CJP's October 10 protest, citing expected traffic congestion.
On October 9, the Railway Board ordered cancellations for trains due to reach Delhi between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. on October 10 if they departed their originating stations after 2 p.m. on October 9.
Western Railway rescheduled Mumbai Central–New Delhi Rajdhani Express 12951 and August Kranti Rajdhani Express 12953 to Hazrat Nizamuddin. It cancelled services 12247 from Bandra Terminus, 20155 from Dr Ambedkar Nagar, 09309 and 12415 from Indore, and 12957 from Sabarmati.
Central Railway also cancelled a Rajdhani service from Mumbai's CSMT to Hazrat Nizamuddin. The Times of India reported that more than 1,200 passengers were affected, alongside over 5,000 on Western Railway.
Full refunds are available for cancelled services. Online ticket purchases will be refunded to passengers' accounts. Those who bought tickets at PRS counters must return to a counter for a refund or rebooking.
The Cockroach Janata Party planned to protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, demanding chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The railway changes were attributed to anticipated congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin stations.
